A variety of festive stamps for the summer

“Thank you.” These are two of the most important words in our language, and quite possibly the most powerful words during difficult times. Thank You Forever stamps issued by the U.S. Postal Service will add a touch of gratitude as you send notes, cards and letters of thanks to acknowledge a favor, an act of kindness, a job well done or gifts sent for any occasion.

As miniature works of art, stamps celebrate the people, events and cultural milestones that are unique to the history of our great nation. Perhaps at no other time in our history have stamps meant so much to so many.

Throughout the challenging and uncertain times of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Postal Service has observed significantly higher stamp order volumes.

The 2020 stamp program continues to deliver diversity and excitement with stamps commemorating Voices of the Harlem Renaissance, Enjoy the Great Outdoors, Hip Hop, Fruits and Vegetables and Bugs Bunny on the occasion of the iconic character’s 80th birthday.

Other stamps issued this summer celebrate the American spirit of innovation and the centennial of the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, guaranteeing women the right to vote.

Stamps are sources of joy and renewed enthusiasm toward card and letter writing. A new survey found two-thirds of respondents said cards and letters from family and friends lift their spirits, while 62 percent said receiving a card or letter in the mail makes them feel more connected during social distancing.

Stay connected with family and friends. It will lift your spirit and theirs, too. Visit your nearest Post Office location or the Postal Store for all your mailing needs — including stamps.
