David Partenheimer

I joined the Postal Service as a national media relations representative in 2005. I support the communications needs of the Board of Governors and oversee FOIA responses to the news media. I’ve been a key player in communicating the urgent need for comprehensive postal reform legislation as part of the USPS Five Year Business Plan to return the Postal Service to long-term financial stability.

I have more than 30 years of experience in public relations and news reporting. Prior to joining the Postal Service, I was a public affairs associate with the American Psychological Association, the largest professional association of psychologists in the world.

I’ve also managed radio public relations projects for Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and national nonprofit organizations at North American Network, where I served as station services manager.

I began my career as a broadcast journalist, serving as news director at radio stations in South Carolina and Virginia. I have a B.A. degree in journalism and broadcast news from Penn State University.
