Santa Mail

Yes, there is a Santa Claus – and the Postal Service wants to help you prove it. USPS offers two options for your child’s letter to Santa.

If your children want Santa to write back to them, the Letters from Santa program is ideal for them. This program allows your children’s letters to receive a special North Pole postmark so they know their letter was read by Santa himself! Letters from Santa adds to the excitement of Christmas and is ideal for interesting youngsters in letter writing, stamps and penmanship. Click here for instructions on how to get this special North Pole postmark for your child’s letter!

This year, 2017, the Postal Service is celebrating the 105th anniversary of the Operation Santa program. This program allows for individuals to “adopt” letters to Santa. Any member of the public choosing to adopt a letter may simply respond in writing or if they choose grant the wish, a decision that is left to the individual. There are 14 locations participating in the Operation Santa program this year, including the iconic James A. Farley Post Office, the largest public adoption Post Office™ in the country. Operation Santa launched December 1, so see if there is a participating location near you!
