I began my postal career in 1984 as a management associate in the Northeast Region. I have served as the Vice President – Engineering, Senior Vice President – Government Relations, Senior Vice President – Intelligent Mail and Address Quality, and since June of 2011 as the United States Postal Service’s Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO). In addition to being the CSO, I also serve as the Chief Environmental Officer for the Postal Service.
The USPS sustainability effort is focused upon creating a culture of conservation throughout the organization and leading the adoption of sustainable business practices. We plan and implement effective environmental compliance programs as the cornerstone of our sustainability efforts.
More about me: I hold a bachelor's degree in engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, served five years as a U.S. Army officer, and represented USPS as a Sloan Fellow at Stanford University, earning a master's degree in management.
